Poland is priced in four postcode zones
Your postcode decides the rate, not just the country. Here is the mapping the rate card uses — Gdańsk (80-xxx) sits in PLZ03, so it is priced with Poznań and Wrocław, not with Warsaw.

LCL per cubic metre to Gdańsk, and rail per cubic metre to Warsaw
Freight partners ask us this constantly, so here is the honest version. Per-CBM LCL and rail block-train space are not published rates. Carriers price them per shipment — port pair, sailing, season and whether you load full or not — and any website quoting a fixed "RMB X per CBM to Gdańsk" is either quoting last month's space or hiding surcharges.
What we can do is better than a made-up number: give you both options side by side for your actual volume.
- 1Per-kilo, door-to-door DDP — fixed published tiers (from RMB 9/kg by sea, RMB 14.92/kg by rail at 2,001 kg+), everything included to your address.
- 2Per-CBM LCL or rail space — requested from our forwarder for your port pair and volume, usually back within one working day, with the surcharge list attached.
- 3The crossover — LCL is normally cheaper below about 15 CBM; above that, FCL (or a shared container) takes over. We show both and tell you where the line falls for your cargo.
- 4For Poland inbound, the Gdańsk and Gdynia port pairs are quoted with your choice of DAP (your broker clears) or DDP (we clear, duty and VAT included).
Clearance in Poland: your broker or ours
Four trade terms are on the rate card, and the right one depends on whether you want to recover VAT and keep the import entry in your own name.
DDP
We clear in Poland; duty and VAT are included in the price you see. Nothing to pay on arrival, no customs invoice to your company.
DAP
We deliver duty-unpaid to your address; your consignee pays duty and VAT on arrival. Typically RMB 1–2 per kilo cheaper than DDP.
DDU / own VAT
Your broker files and you clear under your own VAT number with a valid duty-paid certificate. Handling fee RMB 50–350 per shipment.
PVA (VAT deferred)
For Amazon FBA sellers with a valid VAT and EORI number: VAT is declared through your own number and deferred. FBA warehouse services available.
Delivery in Poland

How much does it cost to ship from China to Poland?
On our contracted forwarder's September 2026 rate card, door-to-door DDP rates to Poland are: sea freight by courier RMB 11–13 per kg (21 kg to 1,001 kg+), sea freight by truck from RMB 9 per kg (201 kg+), oversize sea freight RMB 10.92–18.25 per kg depending on weight tier and postcode group, rail RMB 14.92–22.25 per kg, and air freight RMB 36.5–45 per kg. A 40HQ container DDP to Warsaw, Łódź or Poznań is RMB 73,500.
How long does shipping from China to Poland take?
Sea freight: pickup 38–45 days after the vessel departs (fast-vessel service 38–42 days). China–Europe rail: 16–18 days after the train departs. Air freight: 6–8 working days after we receive the goods (economy line 8–10 working days). Add 3–7 days of consolidation and export paperwork in China — so rail lands in roughly four weeks door-to-door and sea in about six to seven.
Do you charge LCL by cubic metre to Gdańsk, and rail by cubic metre to Warsaw?
No — and we will not pretend otherwise. Port-to-port LCL (per CBM or per weight/measure) and rail block-train space are priced per shipment by the carrier, and those rates change weekly with the market. What our rate card does publish, with fixed prices, is door-to-door DDP/DAP charged per kilo of chargeable weight plus a pallet fee, and full-container 40HQ rates. So for Gdańsk and Warsaw we quote two honest options: (1) per-kilo door-to-door DDP from the published tiers above, or (2) a per-CBM LCL / rail-space rate requested from our forwarder for your exact volume, port and sailing — usually back within one working day. Tell us the volume in CBM and the destination and we will put both numbers side by side so you can compare.
How is the chargeable weight calculated?
Chargeable weight is the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight, with volumetric weight calculated as length × width × height in centimetres ÷ 6,000. On courier-delivered services each piece bills a minimum of 12 kg, and air courier shipments use a bubble-split rule from 12 kg at 50%. On Poland truck services, pallets are counted in 120 × 80 cm positions — pieces between 1,200 kg and 2,000 kg occupy two positions, and shipments over eight positions have to be split.
What do the rates include, and what is extra?
Included in DDP: the international freight, delivery to your address in Poland, customs clearance with import duty and VAT paid, China export clearance and the export documents. Extra and billed at cost: customs inspection at either end plus any container detention, demurrage or port storage it causes, devanning and handling, palletising, second delivery attempts, remote-area and oversize surcharges, and a separate export declaration at RMB 250 per shipment by sea or RMB 350 by rail (from 100 kg). Quotes are valid 7 days because space and freight follow the carrier's latest prices.
Can you clear customs in Poland, or do we use our own broker?
Both are possible. On DDP we clear in Poland through our forwarder, with duty and VAT included in the price you see — no customs invoice to your company. If you prefer to clear in your own name (which many Polish logistics companies and Amazon sellers do to recover VAT), we quote DAP, DDU or PVA: you provide a valid VAT number and EORI number, your own broker files, and the price drops by roughly RMB 1–2 per kilo with a clearance handling fee of RMB 50–350 per shipment. Can you deliver to our warehouse in Poland — or to a partner warehouse we nominate?
Yes. DDP/DAP delivery is to any commercial address you nominate: your own warehouse, a third-party logistics partner, a customer, or an Amazon FBA warehouse (FBA-specific services with PVA clearing exist on the rate card). We do not operate our own warehouse in Poland — we are the China-side partner, so the goods are delivered to your nominated address or collected by your own truck from the nominated Polish warehouse. If you would rather take delivery at a port and truck it yourself, we can quote FOB or DAP to the port of your choice.
We are a freight forwarder ourselves — can we buy on EXW or FOB terms?
Yes, and it is a common arrangement with logistics partners. EXW: we collect the goods from each factory, bring them to our warehouse in Guangzhou, consolidate, label and palletise them, and you or your nominated trucker takes over from there. FOB: we deliver the consolidated shipment to Shenzhen, Guangzhou/Nansha, Ningbo, Shanghai or Yiwu and complete the China export clearance and documentation in our name, with the freight booked under your master bill. Either way you keep the customer relationship and the last-mile margin; we handle the Chinese supplier side.
